Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Have a question? We've got answers. Here are some of the most common questions we receive from the CollectorWorth community. If you can't find your answer here, feel free to get in touch.
How are your prices calculated?
Our prices are calculated using a proprietary system that aggregates sold listings from major online marketplaces. We then apply a rigorous cleaning algorithm to filter out irrelevant data before calculating a weighted average that prioritizes recent sales. For a complete breakdown, please read our Data & Methodology page.
How often is the data updated?
Our entire database is updated every 24 hours to ensure you have the most current market values available.
Why does the value of a graded card seem so different from an ungraded one?
Professional grading significantly impacts a card's value. A card graded as a pristine PSA 10, for example, is much rarer and more desirable than an ungraded ("raw") card, which may have minor imperfections. Our system tracks these as separate items with distinct market values. Learn more in our Card Grading Guide.
How do I add an item to my collection?
On any item's detail page, you will find a "Collection Tracker" module. Simply click the "+ Add to Collection" button and enter the details. You can learn more about managing your portfolio in our Collection Management Guide.
Is CollectorWorth free to use?
Yes, the core features of CollectorWorth—including price lookups, portfolio tracking for a limited number of items, and our data insights—are completely free. We may offer premium subscription tiers in the future for power users with advanced features like unlimited collection size, advanced analytics, and import/export tools.
I can't find a specific item on your site. Why?
We are constantly expanding our database across Pokémon, Lorcana, Funko Pops, and more. If an item is missing, it may be very new or from a category we haven't added yet. We have a "Request an Item" feature planned, but for now, please contact us with what you're looking for!
How do you make money?
We use affiliate links for some of the marketplaces featured on our site, like eBay. If you click a link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps us keep the lights on and continue improving the platform. For more information, please see our Affiliate Disclosure.
